Amy Crockett, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Amy Crockett was born in Seattle, Washington, and was raised in Terre Haute, Indiana where she spent most of her time playing in the fields, climbing trees in the woods, playing with her dog Cotton Candy, saving wild animals during floods, and riding her quarter horse named Joe. Deciding in second grade she wanted to be a Veterinarian, she did not follow in her father’s footsteps of being a human physician, though she learned a lot through his work. After graduating from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982, she moved to Connecticut, where she purchased Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital and became active in the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, serving as its president from 1999 to 2000. She sold the animal hospital in 2016 after 31 years and worked for Pieper Veterinary Group and North Windham Animal Hospital. She just moved to Vermont in July of this year, 2025 and joined our staff in November. Her interests include hematology, cytology, internal medicine, and Laser therapy. She enjoys being much closer to her son and spending time on Lake Champlain. In her free time, she can be found jogging, biking, hiking, kayaking, and writing both poetry and stories about Mermaids and the Fae. She has studied the teachings of Peruvian Shamanism and through this, understands alternative methods of diagnosis and healing.
